Mary Lau has led the Retail Association of Nevada for nearly four decades. Throughout her tenure, she has helped shape Nevada's business climate through decades of legislative advocacy, coalition building, and strategic leadership, establishing RAN as one of the state's most respected and influential business advocacy organizations.
Recognized for her deep understanding of Nevada's political, regulatory, and business landscape, Mary has built lasting relationships with policymakers, regulators, business leaders, and stakeholders across the state. Her experience and institutional knowledge make her a trusted advisor to RAN's members, board of directors, staff, and Nevada's business community.
As CEO, Mary provides strategic leadership for the association, guiding its long-term vision while supporting RAN's government affairs team in advancing policies that strengthen Nevada's retail industry and the state's broader business environment. She remains committed to fostering collaboration among Nevada's diverse industries and promoting a business climate that is transparent, competitive, and positioned for long-term success.
Over the course of her career, Mary has served on numerous public and private boards and commissions, including the Automotive Repair Advisory Board, the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy, the Nevada Commission on Judicial Ethics, and a variety of charitable and private-sector organizations.
Mary is a graduate of Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, Nevada.
