Andy Peterson is RAN’s newest team member having joined the association in April 2018. Prior to joining RAN Peterson was involved in numerous political campaigns. As a result, he was recruited into the chamber of commerce industry where he worked for twenty years, first working at the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce as the Director of Public Policy and then as the President & CEO at with the Greater North Dakota Chamber of Commerce. In Duluth he spearheaded policy efforts on matters concerning to business at the local and state level. He was instrumental in coordinating Duluth Days at the Capitol where up to 750 people converged on lawmakers for three days each year. He was also recognized for providing leadership to save the 148th Fighter Wing from losing its mission in a base closure and realignment effort. In North Dakota Peterson, and his organization, were known for their expertise in statewide ballot efforts and leadership in in lowering individual and corporate tax rates by approximately fifty percent. In Nevada Peterson is tasked by RAN to lobby local and state government in Nevada regarding general business issues. Andy holds an undergraduate in theology and a masters degree in counseling and psychological services. He has also done post graduate work in family studies. He stopped short of pursuing a PhD when he decided a doctorate, to him, was overrated and pretentious. Andy and his wife Patti live in Las Vegas.
